Honey Honey How It Thrills Me (Ah-ha) Honey Honey

LUSH IT’S RAINING MEN SHOWER GEL: £9.75

GARNIER ULTIMATE BLENDS HONEY TREASURES SHAMPOO: £3.89

Nothing like a bit of ABBA to get a post started right? Honey has got to be one of my favourite ingredients in both beauty and food, and the above honey-filled products are two I’ve been really enjoying using. It’s Raining Men shower gel shares its scent with Honey I Washed The Kids soap and Shoot For The Stars bath bomb, or in other words my absolute favourite Lush scent. (As a side note, Shoot For The Stars has recently come back in to stores as part of the Christmas range and I plan to stock up, as it might just be my favourite bomb ever (which is saying a lot)!) The shower gel itself lathers up brilliantly and is a bit like showering in frothy treacle i.e. heaven. It is expensive and probably more of a gift (I have to thank the gorgeous Maria for mine) but it is a fab treat.

Honey Treasures is the latest variation of Garnier Ultimate Blends, a haircare range that I’ve known and loved for a while now. This scent/type/flavour (anyone else always use ‘flavour’ to describe beauty products?) is formulated for damaged hair prone to breakage, which is perfect for when my hair’s just been bleached or if my split ends are in need of a trim. I do find that it can weigh down my hair a bit if I use it too often so I’d steer clear if you have fine hair, as it would probably make it quite greasy. Aside from that it leaves my hair feeling soft and shiny and no doubt I’ll be picking up the matching conditioner and serum. The Honey Treasures range is also currently half price at Boots.

Soap & Glory Sugar Crush Body Wash

SOAP & GLORY SUGAR CRUSH BODY WASH: £6.50 500ML

The first Sugar Crush post of the week (seriously) comes in the form of one of S&G’s fab body washes. This 250ml ‘mini’ size has only half of the quantity of the usual 500ml bottles but has already lasted me months, and has still got a while to go. For well under a tenner these shower gels really are fantastic value for money and come in a whole hoard of lust-worthy scents, including (of course) Sugar Crush and my other favourite Smoothie Star (found in Rich and Foamous). Gorgeous fragrance, nice to use, not too drying/stripping and lasts forever – what more could you want in a body wash?

Nivea In-Shower Body Moisturiser

NIVEA IN-SHOWER BODY MOISTURISER FOR DRY SKIN: £3.69

There was quite a flurry around this when it came out as as far as I know Nivea are the only brand apart from Lush that make an in-shower moisturiser, which is quite amazing considering it seems like an obvious product idea. After liking the Lush offerings I thought I’d give this a go, and I suppose I got what I expected. The texture is a light lotion that you apply to wet skin as a last step in shower, before rinsing off and (supposedly) that’s your body moisturiser done. But as someone who loves and is now used to thick body creams and butters, I found this wasn’t all at moisturising enough for me and I still had to apply another product. However if you don’t normally moisturise and want to try and get in to it this is a really good place to start, as it’s so easy and quick to use and does give a bit of moisture.

Overall would I repurchase?

I would actually, as even though it’s not enough on its own when I apply a body cream on top it leaves my skin wonderfully soft.
